Service Description
The Community Autism Resilience Emotion and Stress Lab at the University of Wyoming directed by Dr. Christina McDonnell is recruiting autistic children/children with autism diagnoses between the ages of 10 and 17 who have also experienced trauma. Children and their caregivers will participate in a virtual intervention study involving the telehealth delivery of trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT). This intervention involves 12 weekly sessions, in addition to an initial assessment and two follow-up assessments so that the research team can evaluate whether the intervention is effective. All visits are conducted via Zoom, and there will be no in-person contact. Families may be compensated up to $400 for their involvement. See the flyer below for more information.
